Another very good reason is we use proper artists' (canvas) or museum/exhibition (pro canvas) stretcher bars and these need to be in fixed lengths to have the self-tensioning capability (tongue and groove joins with tensioning pegs). There is one other very expensive alternative which is less good overall, designed to allow variable sizes with self-tensioning features.

Due to expense and delay in machining we prefer to sell Perspex prints in fixed sizes but can produce them in any size if you have the time and the need. We are unusual in using top quality fine art paper in our perspex photo product, sandwiched between two layers of only the finest cast Perspex guaranteed for 10 years, even outdoors (the cheaper stuff is less clear and is less good to work with). Please note that our normal product is, however, for indoor use only as it is not waterproof.  We can and regularly do produce waterproof perspex prints by instead mounting printed sign vinyl to the reverse of 1 piece of 10mm perspex, just ask if you have this requirement. It will last a good length of time but would not be considered as archival as our standard. There is usually a trade-off between different methods of perspex art production but as always you can expect us to go for a long-lasting and high quality option while keeping the prices very low. We make savings elsewhere in the overheads of our business but product quality and value is always our first priority.

Other products like art prints and framed photos are offered in set sizes for ease and so that our online photo cropping and ordering sytem is uniform with a common start point. They are very easy to produce in other sizes - again just ask. Many customers order the next size up online and in additional instructions request a specific size which is a good way to do it.

Mini Canvases can be ordered in bulk at unusual sizes but are the only product where we would struggle to offer unique sizes as they are so cheap to begin with and we source the MDF board cut in bulk in advance locally in the UK.
